The fuel pump replacing procedure is as follows:-----

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION details are mentioned below: -----
4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L Engines
Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Properly relieve the fuel system pressure.
Remove the fuel tank. For additional information, refer to the following section, -Fuel Tank, Removal & Installation.-
Disconnect the fuel vapor tube-to-Fuel Pump (FP) quick connect coupling, if equipped with midship fuel tank.
Using the Fuel Tank Sender Unit Wrench, remove the FP module lock ring.
Remove the fuel pump assembly and fuel pump O-ring seal.
Installation is the reverse order of removal using a new fuel pump O-ring seal.
