Throttle Body Removal on Ford E series?

The ford E series Van Throttle body removal.


Throttle Body
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION procedure is as follows: ----

4.6L Engine

Specific to:

Ford E-150 2008-2009

Ford E-250 2008-2009

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air intake assembly.
4. Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
5. Remove the Throttle Body (TB) bolts and the TB and discard the gasket.
6. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Install a new TB gasket. To install, tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm). Tighten an additional 90°.

5.4L Engine

Specific to:

Ford E-150 2008-2009

Ford E-250 2008-2009

Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner and air cleaner intake pipe.
4. Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
6. Remove the 4 throttle body (TB) bolts and the TB and discard the TB O-ring seal.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new TB gasket. To install, tighten to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm) plus 90°

6.8L Engine

Specific to:

Ford E-350 Super Duty 2008-2009

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air intake assembly.
4. Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector.
6. Remove the throttle body bolts and the throttle body and discard the throttle body gasket.
7. Installation is the reverse order of removal. To install, tighten to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm) plus an additional 90°.
